The Profit - RAMP Sports Update

Tonight on The Profit, Marcus Lemonis is in Park City, Utah to make a deal with RAMP Sports. This episode is being advertised as a "lost" episode of The Profit that is now airing at a later date.  RAMP Sports is a store that is majority-owned by Lou Sardella which specializes in snowboards and skis.  Lou sold a successful business and there is almost $8 million invested in RAMP Sports.

Let's take a look at some information related to RAMP Sports as well as what kind of deal was made on the show.

  • Here is the opening video for the episode from the CNBC website. The second half is for RAMP Sports.
  • RAMP stands for Riders Artists Musicians Project.
  • RAMP Sports opened in late 2010.
  • RAMP Sports closed in August 2016 apparently after an investor pulled out. (Link)

The Deal From The Episode Plus Post-Show Updates (this will be updated continually):

  • The Deal - There was no deal on the show which is why it was a "lost episode."  Offer was $1.25 million for 33% of the business and Marcus gets his money back first.  The owners didn't like having Marcus Lemonis in control, so they didn't take the deal and Marcus walked out.
  • As stated above, RAMP Sports closed in August 2016.
